Katie Kirkpatrick is an award-winning scientific and medical illustrator and graphic artist who specializes in creative visual storytelling that fosters deeper understanding of and appreciation for ourselves and our natural world.

The Work Process

    Initial Consultation

    We meet in person or online to discuss the details of your project. Feel free to provide a rough draft of your ideas and references.

    Concept Development

    We propose the concepts to move forward. You will receive an estimated quote, terms-of-use contract, and first sketches.

    Production & Feedback

    We typically engage in three revision rounds, where feedback ensures the project meets your expectations.

    Final Delivery

Meet Katie

Hi! I’m Katie Kirkpatrick, currently based in Boston. I completed my undergraduate studies in Studio Art, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and Business at Rice University in Houston, and my Master’s in Scientific Illustration at Maastricht University and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. I love working with passionate collaborators to create innovative work that pushes science forward and bridges understanding between different audiences.
